Noise UTC HPC Cluster 2015 - AWARD - The University of Southampton wishes to procure a secure HPC cluster on behalf of the University’s Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) for work with computationally intensive acoustic and CFD codes in collaboration with Rolls-Royce. The facility will be sited in the University’s state of the art data centre in a 19” Rittal rack (usable space 42U), providing front to back cooling. A standard rack will support up to 7kW of power/cooling, without modification. The maximum power/cooling that can conveniently be supplied to an individual rack is 14kW. Under no circumstances whatsoever will the University of Southampton be liable for or pay any expenses or costs which may be incurred (whether directly or indirectly) by the tenderer in the preparation or submission of their tender proposal. The University of Southampton is not bound to accept the lowest offer or any tender in full or in part. In evaluating the tender, the University will seek the most economically advantageous offers based on the evaluation criteria found in the tender documents.
