A DPS for sustainable and ethically sourced goods and services, delivering social value in local communities - Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust (BWCET) are seeking to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of commonly used goods and services from a wide range of suppliers to create an ethical and sustainable supply chain to deliver social value in local communities. Education Commercial Services (ECS) is the trading name of Bishop Wilkinson Commercial Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust (BWCET) who provide specialist procurement services to the education sector. Education Commercial Services (ECS) is focused on providing high quality commercial support to the education sector with a specific focus on supporting the North East region. Our goal is to ensure we use the most effective and compliant route to market for the customer, taking into account their individual objectives whilst identifying savings, social value benefits and supporting the local economy and communities. Although ECS currently has a focus within the education sector in the North East, the DPS will be available and open to the full Public Sector to access an ethical and sustainable supply chain for commonly used goods and services across all regions within the United Kingdom (UK). The DPS has been designed and set up to have a focus on ethical and sustainable practices across suppliers and their supply chain to drive social value outcomes The DPS will create the following benefits across all sectors, locations and suppliers: • support local SMEs, charities and social enterprises by providing a platform for growth thereby supporting the local economy • increase the creation of social value within the following themes: Covid-19 Recovery, Tackling Economic Inequality, Fighting Climate Change, Equal Opportunity and Wellbeing • reduce impact on the environment, whether this be carbon, water, waste reduction and/or circular economy principles • encourage 10-day payment terms for suppliers and subcontractors to support local businesses • create supplier awareness and encourage suppliers to embed new working practices in relation to ethical supply, sustainability, community and employee support throughout the supply chain When applying to the DPS suppliers, are required to indicate which categories they are applying for, in order to be invited to the relevant competitions. Customers will use the categories to shortlist appointed suppliers and invite them to further competition The three (3) categories compromise of: • Service Category • Geographical Location • Additional Capabilities

Merton Frailty Programme - A programme of physical activity in areas with the highest frailty (East Merton Primary Care Network (PCN) and Morden PCN) that will reduce the risk of 'de-conditioning' amongst older people aged 65 and over. The project will run for 17 months from January 2022 and the primary focus will be on people with mild frailty or moderate frailty with the aim to improve their physical condition through physical activity and strength and balance training. The project's secondary focus will be to keep older people without frailty 'fit'. The Provider will be required to work with community and voluntary groups in the area alongside GP practices and other key partners. The provider will use a 'train the trainer' model and there will be small grants programme attached, run by the provider for resident and community groups to run activities.

LuminoCity Festival of Light - Opportunity We are a looking to appoint a creative lighting artists/architects to provide us with three temporary large scale lighting installations that we can install in our public realm from Tuesday 15th - Saturday 19th Feb as part of a large scale light festival. Structure one requirements Looking for an large scale light and sound 3D modular sculpture that measures approx. 10m width x 6m high x 7m length. The structure will need to be able to resist winds of up to 126km/h Beaufort 11 as it will be in situ on a pier for the duration of the event. The structure needs to be consist of a choregraphed light and sound show that can run on a continuous loop for at least six hours. Structure 2 requirements Looking for 5 social interactive illuminated sculptures. Structures could be up to 4.7m across and the height of the structures need to range from 230cm - 340cm. The sculptures will need to be set at various heights to accommodate a wide range of users including children and wheelchair users. Structure 3 requirements. Looking for a large scale interactive, inflatable shaped installation that users can also interact with during daylight hours. The installation must able to illuminate in the evening so that users are able to partake in an immersive light experience during the evening as well as daylight hours. The installation needs to measure approximately 10m in height x 13m in width x 4m in depth. The installation needs to be inflatable to allow for quick dismantle every evening for the duration of the festival.
