More than one option can be submitted provided they are clearly costed. The work involves: 1. Keeping the current Slide/Climbing Frame 2. Refurbish Swings or install new swings 3. Addition of new swing suitable for younger/disabled children 4. Consider installation of additional new play equipment suitable for toddlers and primary school age children 5. Installation of new Vehicular Access Gate 6. Replacement of existing Wet Pour Safety Surfaces and replace with Rubber Bonded Mulch 7. Retain existing benches and bin 8. Retain existing bow top fencing around the play equipment 9. Proposals to install play equipment for older children around the fenced off play area to cater for all age groups. The Contractor must provide within the quoted price: 1. All costs associated with preparing the quote, including site visits; 2. Meeting Health &Safety requirements; 3. Site Set-up and returning the site to use, including removing all debris from site; 4. Carriage and Off-Loading; 5. All processing and administration costs; 6. All labour and third-party costs; and 7. Details of all taxes, including VAT. Please include details with the quote of the equipment specification, including expected lifespan. The work is expected to be carried out within six to twelve months with no variation in the quoted price. Payment on satisfactory completion of the work. Playground,Gym & Urban Play Framework - The Essex Procurement Partnership (EPP - formerly known as EPH Essex Procurement Hub) is part of Braintree District Council and lets and manages national framework agreements. EPP are seeking to renew their framework for the supply, installation and / or maintenance of playground equipment, outdoor gyms, urban play equipment, splash parks and associated works including parts and maintenance and wish to conduct some early market engagement to help inform what this might look like going forward. EPP would encourage interested parties to help us to shape this framework. Initially, engagement will be in the form of a questionnaire which should be completed using this link https://www.braintree.gov.uk/xfp/form/671 no later than Monday 20th May 2024. The Responses will be reviewed, and we may contact respondents with follow up questions depending on the findings. This will be a national four-year framework agreement available to all Public Sector Bodies around the UK, with an estimated value between £2-3 million. We are considering options for direct award and further competition. Throughput on our current and similar version of this framework agreement is in the region of £1.5m.

TO INCLUDE THE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF THE REMAINING OLD EQUIPMENT AND SURFACING - Applications are invited to tender for THE REFURBISHMENT OF A ROCKING HORSE, ROUNDABOUT AND SLIDE. THE REMOVAL OF THE REMAINING PLAY EQUIPMENT, ALL SAFETY SURFACING AND ONE BENCH.THE DESIGN, SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF NEW PLAY EQUIPMENT, NEW SAFETY SURFACING AND SEATING. ONE EXISTING BENCH TO BE RETAINED. The new facility will be located where the existing play facility currently stands on Hackleton Recreation Ground, Main Road, Hackleton, Northampton, NN7 2AB. Monies for this project are available from CIL FUNDS and total circa £100,000 ex VAT. The existing rocking horse, roundabout and slide are to be fully refurbished and included in the design of the new play area. The successful contractor will supply and install new play equipment and safety surfacing suitable for children aged from toddler to young-teen. The design of the play area must include equipment which complies with the full identified age range. You are required to show how your chosen play equipment accommodates this age range. The playground equipment should fit in with the rural aspect of the village. The playground equipment should include the following criteria/activities: Swinging, Climbing, Sliding, Spinning, Balancing and include a Zip Line The play area layout should be designed such that the equipment intended for younger children is grouped separately and together, and not within or amongst the equipment intended for older users. This area for younger users should also include seating for parents/minders. We do have one bench and one litter bin which is to be retained within the new design The successful contractor will need to show the inclusive play value of their design. A fully inclusive playground promotes the social model of disability where barriers to play are designed out. It enables self-esteem and builds confidence as well as encouraging independence All equipment, surfacing and fencing shall be manufactured, tested, installed and conform to the relevant British and European Standards The play equipment must also comply with the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act).
