Goldsmiths Playground Replacement - Crowborough Town Council manages and maintains five playground sites across Crowborough. At our Goldsmiths Recreation ground we have a large open space for residents to enjoy, along with local football and running club meeting on a weekly basis. The site also hosts a playground, skatepark, boating lake and outdoor gym. Goldsmiths Recreation Ground is our flagship site hosting the majority of our events throughout the year. The site is well used by residents and the playground is used daily. The current condition of the playground has slowly deteriorated, and they are now in need of refurbishment. The invitation to tender includes providing a playground which can be used by differing ages of children between the ages of 1 year to 18 years. The tender should provide a design of the playground along with a specification of equipment being offered and what ages it will be suitable for. The tenderer must provide details of their health and safety structure and memberships held, along with examples of risk assessments and safe working practices. Crowborough Town Council intends to enter into a contract with a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake this project. CBC-1209-T-CE MUGA, Play and Fitness Equipment - 5 Lots - Stotfold Town Council leases an area of 24 acres on Arlesey Road, Stotfold from Central Bedfordshire Council. The bulk of this area is public open space for general recreational use and football pitches. The site also accommodates the town's Football Club with a stadium and clubhouse. It is the Town Council's aim to enhance the wider community use of this public open space, as identified in the Stotfold Town Plan to increase recreation facilities for the community, and in the Town Council's Corporate Strategic Plan to provide a new Multi-Use Games Area and outdoor gym facility at the Arlesey Road site. This project to provide a Multi-Use Games Area, play area and outdoor gym equipment meets those objectives. The facilities sought within this tender are intended to build on the formal sports provision at the site, to offer a range of casual sport and physical activity facilities and opportunities for a wide age range. The gym equipment and MUGA are aimed at older teenagers and adults; while the play area should cater for children from 6-10+years with an emphasis on challenge and innovation. NWL158 Coalville Park Playground Refurbishment - North West Leicestershire District Council is looking to contract with a supplier to redevelop the existing Coalville Park, park play area, for new toddler and young people play equipment with a 'mining' theme. This will include the removal of the existing swings and toddler equipment, the installation of the new equipment, and the installation of appropriate safety surfacing. Whilst specific types of equipment have been identified through engagement with residents and are highlighted within the 'specification, it is accepted that not all providers may have specific equipment of this nature and so alternative options are welcome to be submitted and will be considered. Where possible, all equipment should be as accessible as possible to allow use by toddlers and children with accessibility issues. This is a non re current contract. Work is expected to start in September 2021, and suppliers should ensure they have the capacity to deliver to the timescales required for the project.
