Carriageway High Friction Surfacing - This Tender is for the provision and application of High Friction Surfacing (Epoxy type 1 and methyl methacrylate (MMA)). Typical sites are the approaches to signal controlled junctions, roundabouts and pedestrian crossings subject to a heavy flow of vehicles and maintenance of existing applications. Additionally the Contractor may also be instructed to undertake work to traffic calming schemes, cycle paths, demarcation of hatched areas, etc. It is anticipated that the quantity of work to be undertaken through this contract will be in the order of 20,000 m², with up to 50% of this work being carried out outside of normal working hours. The contract will initially be for one year with a possible extension for one year at the Council's discretion, depending on the performance of the Contractor and with the agreement of both parties.
