SCOPE Web Form - The Strengthening Collaboration for Operating Pharmacovigilance in Europe (SCOPE) Joint Action aims to help medicines regulators operate pharmacovigilance systems to meet the EU legislative requirements. Regulators are collaborating to improve skills and capability across the European network, which will help safeguard public health in both national territories and the EU as a whole. The SCOPE Joint Action will run from 2013 until October 2016. It has been created to support operations of pharmacovigilance in Europe following new requirements introduced by the European pharmacovigilance legislation that came into effect in June 2012. Funded by the Consumers, Health and Food Executive Agency (CHAFEA) and with contributions from Member States involved, SCOPE will gather information and expertise on how regulators in Member States run their national pharmacovigilance systems. Using this information, SCOPE will develop and deliver guidance, training, tools and templates to support good practice. Through this approach SCOPE aims to support consistent approaches in pharmacovigilance operations in the EU network, which will benefit the safety monitoring of medicines and communications outputs, thereby helping to safeguard public health. A web-based form for reporting of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) to medicinal products by healthcare professionals and patients is required. The planned outcome of the process is to provide European National Competent Authorities (NCAs) with a template web-form that can be translated and adapted for use within their own country. The development of the web based form for reporting of ADRs forms part of Topic 4 (Review of reporting forms) within Work Package 4. The tool will enhance the engagement of European healthcare professionals and patients, who play an essential role as the primary source of spontaneous ADR information and SCOPE is aiming to facilitate improved ways of ADR reporting to national regulators. This output from this will be a framework agreement that any European National Competant Authority can call off, the contract will run for a period of three years with the option to extend by a further 12 months. The requirements are: - A one off piece of work, to produce a web-based form within budget. This will be ordered by the MHRA on behalf of the SCOPE project. - Optional work to cover customisation; branding, additional fields (if required) for participating countries to integrate the form into their applications and for the translation of the form if needed. This will be subject to individual call offs (orders) by individual National Authorities. This Framework will be available for the use of any SCOPE partners as listed on the SCOPE website http://www.scopejointaction.eu/partners/

Prior Information Notice - The appointment of an IT service provider(s) to deliver the University of Manchester's Phased Sourcing strategy. - Background The University of Manchester has recently announced a new IT Services “Phased Sourcing” strategy, under which the University intends to increasingly fulfil new IT requirements using solutions supplied by third parties and delivered “as a service”, rather than building and running solutions in house. The University has recently reviewed its existing IT estate and has defined an IT Strategic Plan intended to replace and modernise systems to ensure that the University’s IT services remain in step with the anticipated needs of students and staff. Execution of the IT strategic plan will require an estimated investment of between £50m and £150m spend over the coming three to five years. Objective The University is now looking to adopt a new IT delivery model, whereby it will contract with a third party IT provider (or potentially more than one provider) capable of delivering the bulk of the anticipated IT Strategic Plan over the years ahead. The selected IT provider(s) will be engaged on the basis of a University of Manchester specific framework agreement. Under this model, the intention is that the University would always retain the right to select other providers for specific technical requirements or in the event that the chosen IT provider(s) does not provide a compelling commercial or service delivery capability. The model is intended to provide the following benefits to the University: - Ready access to the levels of specialist skills and resources needed to deliver the anticipated level of new IT services in the years ahead - Greater integration between new IT services - A simplified approach to the integration of new services with existing University infrastructure - Greater value for money through leveraging the University’s buying power - Access to industry leading best practice and innovation - Greater levels of certainty that new projects and services will be delivered on time, to budget and to agreed service levels

Resource booking system (hosted) - Ofwat is currently undergoing a Business Transformation Programme (BTP) which is transforming the way we work. A part of this programme is focusing on transforming our delivery processes including enabling technologies at Ofwat. As part of the BTP Ofwat is transforming its working environment to enable more flexible working and to facilitate better programme working. We are therefore, looking to implement a self-service resource booking system (that integrates with MS Outlook) for meeting rooms, pods, collaborative working spaces, hot desks, offices, car park spaces, catering/room layout/equipment (VC etc) across or two offices, located in Birmingham and London. Our Birmingham office is currently undergoing an office refurbishment onto two floors which is due to be completed by mid-2015. We are looking for a supplier to work with us to implement a Resource Booking System across our two offices by the end of this financial year. The ITT document will be released in the next few days and the deadline for tenders around mid-February 2015.
