Consultancy Support for the One Public Estate Mini Master Plan for Key local centres in East Hull, Kingston upon Hull in - The Hull One Public Estate Partnership requires a consultant to undertake work following the successful submission of Opportunity Development Funding. The required outcome should assume and include all liaison with relevant Council officers and all relevant parties to undertake the work and deliver the outcomes. The quote needs to include the actual pipeline of works based on intelligence ascertained throughout the works. The commission is for the creation of Hull OPE Partnership pipeline of 'bid-ready' public sector property opportunities where further investment of these opportunities may come from future One Public Estate funding or from other national funding programmes or local funding sources. The Authority anticipates that any resource appointed to have strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience in delivering complex regeneration, property, or housing programmes across local and/or central government. The Authority expects a strong knowledge of the OPE programme and understanding of what is needed to develop a successful funding application. The Authority proposes to enter into one Contract for a period of six months with the successful Tenderer (Service Provider), with an option to extend for a period or periods of up to a maximum of three months. Such extension(s) will be at the discretion of the Council and subject to satisfactory performance. The anticipated service commencement date is 1st November 2023.

GB-WATFORD: Green Spaces Strategy - Watford Borough Council wishes to update their Green Spaces strategy which reflects the needs and aspirations of residents, elected members and staff that is in line with current thinking, best practice and will take the service into the next decade. The Council has an aspiration to re-think the role that parks and open spaces play within the borough particularly in regard of its new Environment Strategy and Public Health Agenda. Parks and open spaces have the potential to support a wide range of cross-cutting strategic priorities, including public health and well-being, the environment, biodiversity, education, employment, community safety, regeneration and community engagement. In developing a new strategy, the Council wishes to reference current best practice and recent research into options for future funding and maintenance of public open spaces. GB-Rickmansworth: Specialist Resources for Planning Skills - Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) is seeking Specialist or Consultancy services to deliver Planning Skills within TRDC. Expression of Interest are therefore sought for procuring temporary planning specialist resource in Urban Design, Ecology and Trees/Landscape to support the Council from October 2023 to March 2024. Each specialist resource would also provide a training programme (up to 2 full days) for the Council across the funding period to aid officer knowledge and facilitate further learning beyond the funding period. In addition to the above support for the Development Management function, Three Rivers District Council is also seeking funding for specialist support for its Planning Policy department in relation to Design Code work to assist the delivery of the new local plan and a review of a number of conservation area appraisals. It is important to note that the above request to address the Councils existing skills gap is subject to the bid for funding being successful, in part or in full. The Council anticipates confirmation regarding its bid in early October 2023. This is a joint procurement with Dacorum Borough Council as part of the proposed bid includes working in participation with Dacorum Borough Council in respect of sharing temporary specialist resource in Ecology and Trees/Landscape and the training programme. Integrated Sports Assessment for the Swindon Borough Council Local Plan - Swindon Borough Council is in the process of preparing a new Local Plan which will supersede the current Swindon Local Plan 2026. As part of this process, the Council is keen to commission suitably qualified consultants to attain new evidence. An update to this work will provide the Council with up-to-date data and a strategy to provide robustness and direction to inform decision-making impacting the provision of sport and leisure facilities and ancillary services within the Borough. PQ0467 - Transport Evidence Base for the Birmingham Local Plan - Transport Assessment - The Council requires a supplier for the provision of transport evidence base for the Birmingham Local Plan - Transport Assessment. This contract will be for a period of up to 9 months aiming to commence week of 16th October 2023. Birmingham City Council is undertaking an update of the Birmingham Development Plan (BDP) which was adopted in January 2017.
