HCC - 06/22 - Pre-Procurement Market Engagement (PPME) relating to the procurement of Highways Maintenance Services and Professional Services - Hertfordshire County Council (the "Council") is carrying out Pre-Procurement Market Engagement ("PPME") relating to the procurement of Highways Maintenance Services and Professional Services The Council is seeking input from the market as to what might be the most attractive way of packaging and scoping any future opportunity for contracts. This input will help inform any resultant procurement process. The Council will consider the feedback received to help inform the Council's options and further decision making. For the avoidance of doubt, this stage of the project is not part of a formal procurement process and the Council is not committing, at this stage, to carrying out such a process. Participation or non-participation in the PPME shall not prevent any supplier participating in a potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of the PPME shall place any supplier at an advantage in a potential procurement process. Participation in the PPME will be at each organisation's own cost. No expense in responding to this PPME will be reimbursed by the Council. Diving, Confined Space & Remote Camera Inspections of Highway Structures - Corserv on behalf of Cormac Solutions wishes to appoint a suitably qualified, competent and experienced contractor to provide a service for diving, confined space and remote camera inspections of highway structures. Cormac Solutions is responsible for the inspection and maintenance of highway structures which mainly take the form of bridges, culverts and retaining walls. All highway bridges and culverts which are the responsibility of Cormac Solutions receive a biennial general inspection. Approximately 20% of these structures present problems of access so that a diving or remote camera inspection is required as part of the general inspection. Cormac Solutions wishes to appoint an appropriately trained and qualified engineer working for a company which specialises in this type of work. This contract enables such a programme of inspections to take place and a full picture of the condition of all highway structures to be ascertained. The contract will initially be for 2 years with an optional extension for a further 2 year term. The intention is to appoint the most economically advantageous tenderer based on 60% Price, 30% Quality and 10% Social Value.

MBC1897 - Bridge Inspections - Maidstone Borough Council owns several pedestrian and vehicular bridges that require regular inspection based on the guidance in CS 450 for the inspection of Highway structures (previously BD63/17) which recommends that a General Inspection is carried out every two years and a Principal Inspection is carried out every six years.
