Gas Quality Audit Checks - Scope for Annual Gas Service inspections. To undertake third party independent quality audit inspections on completed Annual Gas Service inspections. To independently report and provide the Council with an accurate assessment of the quality of gas work undertaken by the contractor's gas operatives. The assessment of work will be carried out by selective sampling of recently completed work, i.e. Annual Gas Service inspections, and verifying these jobs have been undertaken in accordance with the Councils gas policies, procedures and specifications, relevant manufacturer's instructions, and all current Gas Regulations, British Standards and appropriate Building Regulations. To independently report on the quality of documentation undertaken by the contractors gas operatives in accordance with the councils gas policies, procedures and specifications. To ensure that feedback is constructive and consistent across all areas inspected. To work with the Gas Administration Team to assist in dispute and resolution. Scope for Central Heating installations/upgrades. To undertake third party independent quality audit inspections on new/replacement gas central heating installations to the Councils properties. To independently report on the quality of central heating installation work that is being delivered as in accordance with the Councils specifications, Gas Safety (installation & Use) Regulations, relevant manufactures instructions, British Standards and appropriate Building Regulations. To assess and report on the standard of new gas heating installations and boiler replacements and documentation in accordance with the Councils gas policies, procedures and specifications, relevant manufacturer's instructions. To undertake third party auditing (independent quality control) on all contractors undertaking gas boiler and heating installation work, to ensure that feedback is constructive and consistent across all areas inspected & to work with the Gas Administration Team and contractors to assist in resolving all issues identified. System laboratory checks (water sampling) to be undertaken to include all installation contractors (12 x system checks per 24 installation audits per period) Scope for Replacement Roofing Audits To undertake third party independent quality audit inspections on gas work carried out in conjunction with the councils planned Replacement Roofing works. To independently report and provide the Council with an accurate assessment of the quality of gas work undertaken by the contractor's gas operatives. The assessment of work will be carried out by selective sampling of recently completed work, i.e. disconnection and reconnection of appliances whilst roofing work is carried out, and verifying this work has been undertaken in accordance with the councils gas policies, procedures and specifications, relevant manufacturer's instructions, and all current Gas Regulations, British Stand

Electrical Installation Condition Reports - Derwentside Homes are looking for suitably qualified electrical contractors to carry out between 200 to 1000 electrical condition surveys to domestic properties. Contractors shall adhere to best practice as described in guides issued by the IET (previously the IEE) and NICEIC in particular the IET Guidance Note 3 Inspection and Testing 7th Edition and Electrical Safety First Best Practice Guide 4 (Issue 4). Approved contractors may also be required to carry out certain repairs, including emergency repairs, and are required to be in a position to attend site within two hours of request. Location within the area is therefore beneficial. Contractors will be required to provide details of their registration, health and safety information, insurances, together with a priced Schedule of Rates and a cost per property for undertaking a 100% survey of individual properties. This will include all administration associated with the works (including arranging access, paperwork, reports etc)
