East Hampshire Chichester Chalk Groundwater Model Update - Historically the East Hampshire Chichester Chalk model has underpinned the outcomes of many Restoring Sustainable Abstractions (RSA) and Water Framework Directive (WFD) water resource investigations. Portsmouth Water use the model to feed into their Water Resources model which in turn informs the Water Resource Management Plan and Drought Plans. This model was last updated in 2012 and is a valuable asset to the Environment Agency, which needs to be maintained so it is fit for purpose. It is essential for sharing a common conceptual understanding with key stakeholders to support optimal resource development therefore the model should be updated now. This project will involve reviewing and updating the conceptual model, incorporating recently acquired geological information, updating the relevant datasets (including PE and rainfall), updating the model with Modflow6 code, refinement/calibration, and model scenarios and reporting.

East Midlands Yorkshire Sherwood Sandstone Groundwater Model Update - The overarching objective for this project is to improve the Environment Agency's capability to regulate, manage and protect water resources of the Sherwood Sandstone Principal Aquifer. The project aims to do this by improving the conceptualisation of the Sherwood Sandstone using the updated geological knowledge from the recent British Geological Survey's investigations in the Yorkshire area, and from the newly created gridded 3D geological models. The updated conceptualisation of the aquifer (undertaken in Phase 1) should be used to generate an updated, unified, reliable numerical groundwater model covering both the Sherwood Sandstone Principal Aquifer of the East Midlands and the Yorkshire areas.

2854/509/NAMRC/20 Fixture Development - 2854/509/NAMRC/20 Fixture Development The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for fixture development on behalf of the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, at Catcliffe, South Yorkshire. Scope of Requirement Nuclear AMRC are studying manufacturing technology improvements to simplify the production of Intermediate Level Waste (ILW) containers, which will ultimately lead to them being made as efficiently as possible (keeping the costs to a minimum for both the NDA and the UK taxpayer). As part of this project, a number of production jigs and fixtures are required to support internal technology trials and preproduction activities. The jigs and fixtures have been identified as key enablers and therefore this RFQ is for the design, make package of work. Tender Process and Documentation: This procurement is an open procedure conducted in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 The ITT can be downloaded by registering and expressing your interest on the University`s e-tendering system https://in-tendhost.co.uk/Sheffield If you have any questions or comments in relation to this tender they must be submitted via the In-tend System, this can be accessed at https://in-tendhost.co.uk/Sheffield Completed tenders must be returned through the same e-tendering system. Closing date for receipt of tenders: 18th March 2021 at 12 noon (UK time).

London Basin Groundwater Model Update - In brief, the update to the London Basin Groundwater model shall be accomplished by completing the following activities: - Produce an update to the conceptual model to reflect up to date information and knowledge that has become available since earlier phases of groundwater modelling completion, plus changes in abstractions, - Run the following model scenarios: o 'Historical scenarios' / calibration of the updated model to match up until December 2019 data, involving multiple model runs; o Generate additional/four standard scenarios for the same period. - Undertake a review of source protection zones (SPZs) for the North Downs area.
