P2147 - Sexual Health Treatment and Prevention Services - The Council is conducting the procurement exercise using the Light Touch Regime in accordance with Regulation 34 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015) and the Public Procurement (Amendments, Repeals and Revocations) Regulations 2016 as set out in Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (Annex A) (PCR 2015) in relation to Social, Health and Education services. Birmingham City Council wishes to establish a Contract for the provision of Sexual Health Treatment and Prevention Services. The Services will be for Birmingham City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. Elements of service delivery are tailored to be able to meet the differing requirements of each geographical area. The delivery model of the Sexual Health Treatment and Prevention Service is a place based fully integrated system delivered by a Lead Provider with sub-contracting arrangements. The Contract will last for 4 years (unless terminated under the terms and conditions of contract) with the provision to extend for up to an additional 2 years subject to requirements and satisfactory performance. The contract will be awarded to 1 Lead Provider. A Lead Provider model with sub-contracted services is required to deliver an integrated Sexual Health Service across Birmingham and Solihull. Sub-contracted services will include Primary Care (GPs and Pharmacies) and specialist and community organisations (private and third sector), focussing on population groups most at risk. Early Release on Compassionate Grounds - Future Opportunity - This service is to cover all of HM Prisons, and service will be conducted remotely. The Public Protection Group (part of HMPPS) require independent medical advisors to provide a view whether an application meets the requirements in the Early Release on Compassionate Grounds Policy Framework. Advisors must be a qualified doctor with current registration to the General Medical Council, as per the ERCG Policy Framework. The medical advisor will be expected to review the reports, provide a plain English summary and provide a view on whether the clinical criteria for consideration for ERCG has been met. This will be written in a format that is accessible to non-clinical personnel within PPCS/HMPPS, to inform their decision making. PQ0445 - Provision of Physiotherapists - AWARD - Birmingham City Council's Occupational Health Service requires the regular provision of qualified Physiotherapist(s) to support the delivery of a professional Occupational Health Service to Birmingham City Council's managers and employees and its traded partners including Schools and Academies across the City and some small charity organisations. As the team operate a partial traded service, this stakeholder group may fluctuate in breadth and volume. Please refer to the essential criteria and service outputs required for this requirement below. We may award to more than one supplier, in such case, work will be awarded throughout the duration of the contract based on the cost and availability of practitioners. Birmingham City Council Occupational Health Service is based at Ashted Lock, Dartmouth Middleway, Birmingham. The delivery of service is a mix of face-to-face and virtual appointments. Where a face-to-face consultation is deemed necessary, clinics will normally be held at Ashted Lock or under agreement at the Physiotherapists satellite offices. There is also a requirement for ad-hoc early intervention referrals into the Physiotherapy Service referred by Occupational Health. We aim to offer appointment times to meet business needs and most appointments operate between 09:00 and 17:00 hours. There may be the occasional requirement for service to be delivered outside of these times.
