Ruan Minor Village Hall Renovations - Ruan Minor is a tiny village and former parish located on the Lizard peninsula. The population of the parish of Ruan Minor used to centre on the coastal village of Cadgwith, first established by the Romans as a trading port and later a hub of the pilchard fishing industry. Ruan Minor Village Hall is used by all sectors of the community as a focal point of village life: Under Fives Playgroup - Four days a week from 3 months to 5 years old; weekly Thursday market providing stall and refreshments and a meeting place for all ages- many elderly attend; fitness classes catering for all age groups including Pilates, Yoga and Keep Fit; meeting place for various organisations; craft Fairs and Book Fairs and an annual Spring Show and Autumn Show; a snooker room provides a place for the young, middle aged and elderly to congregate and take part in the local league; amateur dramatic group put on shows and pantos again involving the whole community and all age groups; monthly quiz, occasional film shows and the facility is used by locals for parties for children and adults for birthdays, anniversaries, wakes and even for weddings and finally as a polling station This tender is for works to be undertaken to futureproof the hall and reduce its operating costs. The purchase of this system is part of a grant funded application process and therefore procurement will be subject to grant approval of the project. PRO004392-Services-Contract-Independent Technical Adviser (HARP) - United Utilities Water Limited (UU) is delivering a scheme titled Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP) to provide long-term water supply resilience to Manchester and the Pennines. The project will utilise a Competitively Appointed Provider (CAP), which is currently being procured using Ofwat’s new Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) approach. Under the DPC approach, Ofwat requires the appointment of a Consultant to protect customers in relation to the DPC project. Ofwat requires this role to obtain assurance around the costs and delivery of a DPC project. UU views the role of the Consultant as crucial to ensure objective, independent oversight of costs that may be passed on to customers and to provide robust scrutiny and assessment of the CAP’s management of project costs and delivery. The Consultant will act as an independent party to UU, the CAP, and Ofwat, and will therefore owe a duty of care to all three parties.

These lots will work together as part of an alliance. The three target groups for the services include: • Lot 1: People’s Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV Outreach. • Lot 2: Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV Support for Marginalised Groups • Lot 3: Targeted Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV prevention for Black African, Black Caribbean, Latin American and other Minoritised Ethnic Groups.

Little Acorns Playgroup Building Refurbishment - Little Acorns Preschool has been located in our current building on the grounds of Penponds School since March 2004. During this time the preschool has become widely used by members of the local communities of Penponds and Barripper and those from further afield. The preschool has grown in popularity due to the fact that it is led by a qualified teacher and forest school leader and also the excellent provision for SEND children. Our partnership with parents is excellent and we have built up a good committee who assist in the running of the preschool. The building is over twenty years old and consequently, in spite of constant maintenance, is visibly deteriorating. Upon entering the preschool, you cannot escape the fact that the building is damp due to the odour. This also prevents preschool staff accessing all available spaces which in turn is putting a limit on how many spaces we can offer; we have the option to have 24 children per day, currently on our busiest session we have 16 children. It is the opinion of staff and committee members that the appearance of the building is incredibly off-putting to potential new families. Due to the limitation of space, we cannot provide a break out space for our children with ASD.tions. Our SENDCo comes highly recommended by outside agencies such as CDC staff whom she regularly works alongside, due to her qualifying with the NASEN accredited level 3 SENDCo award in September 2020. We do not want to continue to be in a position whereby we cannot fully meet the needs of children with SEND and in particular ASD, because we cannot provide them with a sensory / breakout space; the room we used in the past is simply too damp. Making improvements to the building would mean that we could offer more SEND spaces and in doing so, we would be able to employ new staff members / increase the hours of existing staff members. In 2022 we had a new roof installed. Unfortunately, the building is still damp and deteriorating in spite of this. We do not feel that the building will be usable for much longer if no improvements are made. The purchase of this system is part of a grant funded application process and therefore procurement will be subject to grant approval of the project. We will assess tenders received on a Most Economically Advantageous Tender.
