Supply and Fit External Fire Escape Stairs to the Palace Theatre, Southend on Sea - Southend Borough Council requires a contractor to supply and fit an external fire escape staircase to the Palace Theatre, a Grade II Listed Building, from the two second floor dressing rooms. Works are to include excavation & casting of foundations, connection designs, fabrication and installation of the stairs, converting the two changing room windows to doors, installing three extract fans and fireproofing the windows and the installation of emergency lighting. Comprehensive drawings and a schedule of works will be issued to contractors who express an interest and the works will be carried out under a JCTMinor Works Contract. The quotations will be considered against an evaluation ratio of 70% for price and 30% for quality. Please submit your request to quote no later than 12 noon on 4th December 2015.
