Ground Investigation Works at Victoria Embankment - The provision of all necessary People, Equipment, Plant and Materials necessary to do all the work to achieve completion in respect of the ground investigation works at Victoria Embankment Foreshore Project o Mobilisation/ Demobilisation of all plant, tools and materials required for delivering the work o Visit 1 - Construction / Installation of 2 vertical boreholes with recovery cores adjacent to the main shaft. Installed from 98mATD (working platform) to 51mATD, Depth of 47 metres. o Visit 2 - Construction/ Installation sub vertical boreholes (probe drilling) from within the shaft, up to an angle of 15 degrees. Total of 9 number holes to be drilled at a depth of 12m, from level 75mATD. o Visit 3 - Construction/ Installation sub vertical boreholes (probe drilling) from within the shaft, up to an angle of 15 degrees. Total of 9 number holes to be drilled at a depth of 12m, from level 63mATD. o Visit 4 (optional) - Tunnel probe drilling 7 number horizontal tunnel probes at a diameter of 50mm, up to variable angle TBC and to a depth of between 10 and 15 metres. o All Installation, commissioning and maintenance of all boreholes / probe drilling. o Procurement, supply, fabrication, delivery and offloading of materials, plant and labour required for the installation of boreholes / probe drilling. o Testing according to works information. o Supply of any discharge tanks or similar and maintenance of this equipment if required to carry out the subcontract works. o Geotechnical Laboratory Testing and resultant Factual Report. 55305 - Preliminary Ground Investigation for the Development of the Alexander Stadium Site - AWARD - Birmingham City Council requires a supplier for the provision of a preliminary intrusive ground investigation for the development of the Alexander Stadium site. This contract will be for a period of 3 months commencing 25th October 2018 until satisfactory completion of the surveys. The Preliminary Ground investigation needs to fulfil the requirements of meeting current technical standards/best practice/Codes of Practices. The successful bidder will need to provide a proposal for the various types of investigation to be undertaken on different parts of the site, including indicating the number, type, location and anticipated depths of exploratory holes. Appropriate health and safety measures shall be undertaken when conducting the intrusive investigation, including taking suitable precautions to safeguard users of the Alexander Stadium site and Perry Park. It will be necessary to supply the management at Alexander Stadium with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) in advance of commencing site work. Registration and use of in-tend is free.
