Highways Planned Works Framework - Liverpool City Council (the “Council”) intends to launch a procurement, under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, to appoint multiple suppliers to a multi-lot framework to deliver highways planned works (the Highways Planned Works Framework) the procurement for which will commence in or around July 2024. The current intention is that the Highways Planned Works Framework will be in place from late January 2025 and that it will run for a period of up to 4 years. A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig - The Scope involves the design, construction, completion and maintenance of the proposed A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig project. The project forms part of the overall A9 dualling programme, which aims to improve the operational performance of the A9, improve safety for motorised and non-motorised users, facilitate active travel within the corridor, and improve integration with Public Transport Facilities. The objectives are to be met whilst avoiding and/or reducing environmental impacts, enhancing the environment and improving sustainability where possible. The project will upgrade approximately 5 miles (8.2km) of existing single carriageway, commencing just north of the Jubilee Bridge over the river Tay and ending at the southern end of the existing dual carriageway south of Ballinluig Junction. This section of the A9 is located within close proximity to a number of designated environmental sites, including watercourses forming part of the River Tay special area of conservation which are crossed by the existing A9. In particular, the project involves, but is not limited to: - Widening of existing A9 single carriageway to Dual 2 lane All-purpose roads Sub-category c (D2APc) standard, in accordance with ‘CD 109 Highway Link Design’ within the UK Design Manual for Roads and Bridge - Construction of seven left-in left-out junctions - Construction of a roundabout - Upgrade to side roads including resurfacing or realignment and other improvements - Construction of access roads to rural properties - Provision of one new overbridge structure (Guay South Overbridge) and one new underbridge structure (Kindallachan Underbridge). - Replacement and/or upgrade to a number of existing structures including culverts and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) developed in consultation with Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA). - Provision of traffic management, earthworks, road restraint systems, accommodation works, service diversions, fencing, signage, landscaping and environmental mitigation.

DMNV 024 - Transforming Movement and Public Spaces in Shrewsbury - This is an award notice to appoint a main contractor to enhance the public realm of Shrewsbury Town Centre and bring forward the transformation of public spaces along key routes and connections, to create an attractive urban environment stimulating greater numbers of visitors / users, higher spend and activity. By way of an overview only, the works will consist of public realm interventions adjacent to the Town’s Rail Station improving circa 5,800m2 of public realm alongside lighting and traffic signals to a key gateway into the town. NAC/5179 B714 Upgrading Construction (Market Engagement) - North Ayrshire Council seek to appoint a contractor to complete works to upgrade the B714. The proposed scheme is an infrastructure improvement of the B714, primarily between Girthill Farm (located midway along the B714, between the Sharphill roundabout on the A78 and Dalry) and a new roundabout on Kilwinning Road to the north-west of the existing Hillend roundabout. The scheme consists of - Online and offline corridor improvements along the existing B714 route comprising mostly of single lane carriageway - Embankment construction including cut and fill - Construction of a new roundabout tie-in on an existing single carriageway - Sustainable Urban Drainage (SUDs) network, which will control rainfall runoff from the route - Working with adjacent agricultural landowner and associated accommodation works and access Works are currently estimated to commence in April 2025 with completion in October 2026. The restricted process will be used for this requirement. Bidders will be required to have a minimum yearly “specific” turnover of (34,666,666) GBP for the last 3 years in the business area covered by the contract. Bidders are required to provide a minimum of 2 examples of works contracts carried out in the past 5 years that demonstrates they have the relevant experience to deliver the supplies described in the Contract Notice. The supplies must be of a similar value, size and scope. Unsatisfactory experience will result in exclusion from the tender process. Bidders must also provide 2 satisfactory references for the same 2 contracts on the reference templates provided. References must be completed and signed by previous customers for contracts of a similar value, size and scope. If any of the referees score the bidder less than 2 the bidder will be excluded from the tender process. The form of contract will be New Engineering Contract (NEC) – NEC4 ECC Option A.
