GB-Edinburgh: Refurbishment and Upgrade of Outer Skerry - NOTE: This notice was updated on 21 September 2022 for the following reason: Deadline for tender submission extended by one week, from 1500hrs 22nd September 2022 to 1500hrs 29th September 2022.(Location: Outer Skerry Minor Light, Yell Sound (Latitude 60°33.034 N, Longitude 001°18.311 W) The proposed project is the upgrade and refurbishment of the AtoN and shall consist of the following works: - 'HCL' fall arrest system re-certification; - delivery of necessary plant/materials to site; removal of redundant electrical cubicles, batteries and cabling; - installation of new pedestal and lantern; replacement of solar panels; - installation of control cubicle; - replacement of batteries with new Nickel Metal Hydride; - installation of new solar regulator cubicle; - de-mobilisation of site and clearing of all surplus materials and plant. As part of the project works the Principal Contractor is required to organise an early 'Initial' pre-site start Asbestos Survey / Report within the NLB estate via and UKAS accredited asbestos company to identify and hopefully remove any asbestos containing materials before Contractor's personnel arrive on site. During the proposed works, it is essential that the Aids to Navigation are not prevented from operating at any stage that they are required. Details will be provided on the basic operation of these items to allow the Contractor to prevent his operatives from affecting the Aids to Navigation. For detailed description of the works refer to the Bill of Quantities. A site visit is planned for 8th September 2022. 2022 - 0947 William Batchelor & Sam Vale House Lighting Upgrade - Citizen Housing are looking to complete a full lighting upgrade of Samuel Vale House and William Batchelor House. The lighting in Sam Vale and William Batchelor House is to be all upgraded due to lux levels being very low in various areas and not complying with BS5266-1:2016. The lighting in the buildings is to be replaced with Tamlite light fittings or similar. If another type of light fitting is used this will need to be confirmed over correspondence on Intend along with the data sheet of this product to show it is and identical match with warranty on all parts being the same. Star Academies - Electrical Framework - Star Academies are looking to run an FTS (EU) compliant framework tender to appoint up to four suitable suppliers across each lot (region). The suppliers selected will be able to provide a complete Electrical Maintenance service across each lot (region). Whilst the tender will be used as a basis for future works and pricing, the Trust are looking to engage suppliers who will work collaboratively with us and tailor their approach, so that they are able to meet the specific needs of the Trust's portfolio of assets. This procurement also seeks to ensure that value for money is achieved for the Trust and that the Trust's Electrical Maintenance is run in an efficient and consistent way across our entire estate. The framework will run for a period of four years and successful tenderers will remain on the contract for this period subject to performance and company stability (i.e. the company not going into administration).
