FW Works - Underground Cable, Substation and Overhead Line Large Capital Delivery Projects - Scotland 1132 - Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution (SHEPD, the Authority) intends to award framework agreements to contractors who have the necessary capability, capacity, and expertise to Design & Build Underground Cabling, Substation & OHL Schemes within the SHEPD regions as detailed within the procurement documents. Action to address the climate emergency is increasing in priority and pace and with aggressive pathways now set to deliver a net zero energy system by 2035, SHEPD must ensure that the electricity networks are an enabler for a smart, equitable transition to net zero, rather than a constraint. The recent RIIO ED2 settlement, acknowledges the need for investment the networks and reconciles this with ensuring efficiency and affordability for all. This significant programme of work within CAPEX & Connections amalgamates several scopes of work that SHEPD has traditionally delivered under separate contractual arrangements, including but not limited to substation, overhead line, cabling, civil works, design, associated services and works. We are seeking long-term strategic partners to deliver our ambitious RIIO-ED2 Business Plan, play a significant role in our transition to net-zero and deliver great outcomes for our customers by driving efficiency through innovation, development of new technology and products, development of skills and supporting the growth of a locally sourced skilled workforce within our sector. This strategy is underpinned by the intention to award frameworks based on the geographical lotting (as set out in the procurement documents), removing the need for mini competition, to provide commitment to our delivery partners to facilitate growth. An initial view of our work bank is available as part of the PQQ pack. Given the considerable growth within SHEPD it is the intention of this tender to enhance our supply chain and engage with contractors that can commit to our ambition who will collaborate with us in our delivery of the RIIO-ED2 Business plan and beyond. GIS Programme DPS Lot 25.01 Shropshire (Re-Procurement) - The decision has been made not to award the procurement and the process has now been concluded. BDUK was not able to conclude a contract after the procurement and evaluation process. BDUK decided that it was imperative to move forward with the delivery of gigabit-capable broadband in the North East and therefore has abandoned this procurement. The original opportunity description is below: This procurement is for the award of a Regional Supplier Contract in the Mid-West Shropshire region. This is part of the Gigabit Infrastructure Subsidy programme. The Gigabit Infrastructure Subsidy programme is a government programme aimed to support the build of gigabit-capable broadband infrastructure in the areas of the UK which are unlikely to attract commercial investment for gigabit-capable broadband infrastructure within a reasonable timeframe, if at all, referred to as the final 20% (f20). Building Digital UK (BDUK, part of DCMS) will be targeting its market intervention in these areas of the UK via this subsidy award programme, to subsidise the build of gigabit-capable networks providing long-term, sustainable availability of wholesale gigabit broadband services in the hardest to reach parts of the UK. The Gigabit Infrastructure Subsidy programme builds on the success of existing programmes being delivered by BDUK to deliver gigabit-capable networks across the UK. It is envisaged this programme will last for up to 9 years and award contracts throughout that period. This procurement is for delivery of a gigabit-capable network in Mid-West Shropshire region.

Contract for the Supply and Installation of Network Cabling for the Network Transformation Project Phase 3 - AWARD - Tenders are invited for the Supply and Installation of Network Cabling for the Network Transformation Project Phase 3 in accordance with the Tender Specification in Section 2 of the ITT. The maximum budget for the contract is £160,000 excluding VAT. This maximum budget cannot be exceeded. The University will not consider any tender submissions that are over the maximum budget. Any tender submissions exceeding the maximum budget will be disregarded. Main reasons for the decision not to subdivide the contract into lots: Given the need for one supplier to co-ordinate the supply and installation of Network Cabling for the Network Transformation Project Phase 3, the contract has not been subdivided into lots. Tenderers should note that the cabling specification for the tender requirement is Excel CAT6 due to existing installations and patch panels within communications rooms (as confirmed in the document titled 'Tender Specification for the Supply and Installation of Network Cabling for the Network Transformation Project Phase 3') and NOT CAT6a (as detailed in the document titled 'General Specification of Copper and Fibre Optic Data cabling, General Specification of Wiring Rooms and cabinets'). All cables must be compliant to component specification to ISO/IEC 11801:2002, EN 50173:2022 and TIA/EIA 568-B.2-1. The University's currently supplied product is Excel CAT6 as per the Data Sheet appended to the tender specification. Tenderers may propose an equivalent manufacturer of equal quality or specification to the extent this will not void the warranty of any existing equipment, although the University reserves the right to reject any manufacturer that does not meet this standard. The Supply and Installation of Network Cabling for the Network Transformation Project Phase 3 (and any removal of ceiling tiles or grids or reinstatement required particularly fire stopping and ceiling grids) shall be completed by 31st July 2025. The Contract will run for the period 15th May 2023 to 31st July 2025.
