GB-Edinburgh: Refurbishment and Upgrade of Butt of Lewis Lighthouse - NOTE: This notice was updated on 20 November 2019 for the following reason: Due to a typo in the tender introduction on Page 6 which states that the return date is Monday 25th November, we have agreed to extend the deadline to 14:00 on this date to reflect this in the interest of fairness.(The proposed works will involve replacement of the optic and refurbishment and redecoration of the tower and mess facilities in the adjoining building. More specifically, the main items of work listed below: •External redecoration of ex-keeper's buildings, control block, engine room, tower lightroom/dome; •Internal redecoration of tower, watchroom and lightroom; •Replace broken glazing panels in lightroom; •Removal of extension to balcony walkway (for old foghorn) and reinstatement of balcony handrail; •Removal of asbestos garage roof sections and replacement with non-asbestos roof; •Supply and install new fencing around DGPS equipment in courtyard; •Strip out existing optic and supporting electrical system; and •Install new optic and supporting electrical system and batteries (some items NLB-supplied). For detailed description of the works refer to the Bill of Quantities. A site visit is planned for Butt of Lewis Lighthouse on Monday 11th November 2019. Please note that this is a Pass or Fail criteria within our evaluation matrix. Only tenderers who have attended the site visit will be considered as part of the evaluation process. Stratford Waterfront Culture and Education Development, UAL Curtain Walling - It is the intention of the London Legacy Development Corporation ('LLDC') as the Contracting Authority to put in place a contract, with one contractor, for the curtain walling, aluminium windows and ancilliary works for the University of Arts London (UAL), London College of Fashion building at the Stratford Waterfront, Culture and Education Development at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford. The works required include (without limitation) the design (Stage 5), manufacture, delivery and installation of stick system curtain walling works, aluminium windows and ancilliary works for Levels 00 - 03 of the UAL building.
