English Language Learning Platform RFQ - Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) plans to deliver on-line English Language learning for up to approximately 2000 Ukrainian guests, Afghans (ARAP/ACRS schemes) and Hong Kong/ BNOs as well as those Asylum Seekers who are eligible for education and/or have received their status, over 18 months who are resident in the UK under these schemes, and who are living across the county of Oxfordshire in both urban and rural settings. The learning from this may be extended to other groups. This contract is commissioned by the Oxfordshire Migration Partnership whose strategic aim is to maintain an Oxfordshire refugee and asylum migration system that ensures a warm welcome for all new arrivals and embraces and supports independent living for those staying in the county. Fundamental to this aim is ensuring new arrivals have the English language skills they need to live independently, navigate systems here and secure good employment opportunities. The service is required to address, support and make significant impact on the acquisition and improvement of English Language, speaking, reading writing and listening skills, with a particular focus on improving employment prospects (for adults in and for 16-19-year-olds attending school or College) and the use of 'technical English' (i.e. the use of English technical terms related to specific professions and workplaces e.g. medical, childcare, construction etc). This service will be provided alongside face-to-face ESOL classes which will be delivered across Oxfordshire. The aim of this service is to provide ESOL lessons to those who can complete self-guided learning in their own time, to reach as many people who would benefit from this learning as possible.

UK_241_Remote Proctoring Framework 2024 - Services sought The British Council is seeking potential Suppliers with the necessary capacity and capability to provide the British Council with Remote Proctoring solutions. The Framework will be split into 2 Lots: Lot 1 - Remote Proctoring Service This is a full-service Remote Proctoring offer, providing both (access to a) Remote Proctoring Software and staffing/invigilator services to the British Council. We would also consider a hybrid option where British Council invigilators supplements your company's invigilators to manage peaks in demand. This is a standalone service which does not require a testing platform. We would like you to set out your approach for two different models of Remote Proctoring within this Lot: 1. Record & Review (Human Review) 2. Live Proctoring. Lot 2 - Remote Proctoring Technology This is a service providing (access to a) Remote Proctoring Software, but staffing/invigilator requirements will be provided by the British Council utilising our invigilator network. This is a standalone service which does not require a testing platform. We would like you to set out your approach for two different models of Remote Proctoring within this lot: 1. Record & Review (Human Review) 2. Live Proctoring The British Council wishes to progress this Framework with vigour and is only interested in proven solutions and services that can move the initiative forward with speed. It is therefore anticipated that solutions will be based on pre-existing products or service offerings. Suppliers are invited to apply for both Lots where they feel they have the required Solutions.
