Financial Planning & Analysis Reporting Package - Located on the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, Diamond Light Source ltd (DLS) is a World-leading facility for science, engineering and innovation. DLS is the largest science facility to be built in the UK for 40 years and produces ultra-violet, infra-red and X-ray beams of exceptional brightness. DLS allows researchers from academia and industry to investigate the structure and behaviour of the world around us at the atomic and molecular level. Areas of investigation include fields such as medicine, the environment, materials and engineering science, physics, chemistry and heritage science. The research undertaken at Diamond brings economic, health and quality of life benefits to the UK and further afield. DLS intends to implement a modern Financial Planning and Analysis Reporting software package that meets its planning and reporting obligations. The aim of the package is 1) to provide a more efficient, effective and accurate reporting system for the organisation and 2) automate the manual efforts that go into the preparation, review and approval of these budgets/forecasts and reports. The system will remove and significantly minimise the current reliance on manually prepared excel spreadsheets for the periodic budgeting, forecasting and reporting duties of the DLS Finance team. The system will equally provide a more accurate, timely and user-friendly period planning tool and a reporting source for non-finance staff in DLS without heavily relying on the finance team. The scope of the contract is the provision, implementation and ongoing future support of a fully integrated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) reporting system. The chosen system is expected to meet the following requirements as a minimum from implementation and also provide the opportunity for future improvements as the business needs of DLS continue to evolve. To apply visit our website which requires suppliers to complete a one-off simple registration form, which will generate a unique password for your account. Business Rates Forecasting and RV Finder - Business Rates localisation presents a variety of challenges for local authorities in relation to the calculation and forecasting of the various elements of the business rates retention scheme. As an authority participating in the rates retention pilot scheme in Sandwell we currently retain 100% of the income generated through Business Rates. It is crucial that we are able to manage our rating list effectively, forecast changes which may affect net collectable debit and maximise growth through the early identification of commercial properties in the area. Rates avoidance is a serious concern especially in the current climate and it is important that efforts are made to validate reductions applied as much as possible. In Sandwell large numbers of hereditaments receive Small Business Rates Relief but this will no longer apply if a company/organisation has more than one business in the same name. Sandwell MBC therefore require a company who can provide: o Revenues Forecasting o RV Finder o Small Business Rates Relief Audit o Council Tax property finder The contract duration is for 4 years from 14 April 2024 - 13 April 2028. The deadline for tender submissions is 27 November 2023 at 12:00 noon.
