GB-Leicester: De Montfort Hall Epos System - Leicester City Council (“the Council”) is seeking to commission a solution and hardware to improve the efficiency, accountability and customer service of the bars at its flagship venue, De Montfort Hall and at other venues across its estate in Leicester City. The electronic point of sale system (“EPOS system”) which is currently employed at De Montfort Hall, and other venues, is not integrated into the Council’s corporate finance and payments system(s), requiring manual processing of data which is both time consuming and as it is a manual process is prone to error. The Council requires a secure automatic transfer between the two systems. The Council requires enhancement of the current service with a more integrated, electronic approach with the added versatility of automated purchase order requests/stock replenishment, as well as integration into the corporate Finance and Payments systems employed by the Council from the one intuitive, easy to use, modern bar EPOS system.

INVITATION TOTENDER FOR THE SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF AN EXTENSTION TO AN XPLAN PHYSICAL ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM WITH ASSOCIATED SERVICES - West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority has identified the need to extend its existing x Plan access control system to 38 locations around the West Midlands region. The specification, Appendix 4, describes a requirement for the expanded Physical Door Access Control System along with associated services. It is assumed that the most cost effective solution will be achieved by extending the existing xPlan system and re-using all of the hardware, software cards and associated interfaces with the HR and Timekeeping systems for those sites already fitted with access control. The existing system uses xPlan V9.x software and is compatible with all PLAN controller hardware options – this software front end is scalable to accommodate the expansion without the need for additional software licenses. Please note that WMFRA ICT department have invested a significant amount of time and effort into the creation of HR and transaction based timekeeping links with the xPlan system at a database level. The saving must therefore be sufficient to off-set the requirement for re-development of these interfaces. Any tenders that propose a retrofit replacement of the existing systems must allow for the replacement to occur out-of-hours and at their own cost. The cost of a replacement system would need to include these potential areas: retrofit of card readers and door access control to HQ building and Haden Cross Fire Station, a replacement ICT server, the re-writing of interfaces by the Authority’s ICT department for HR and timekeeping systems, replacement ID cards for all staff and training on a new system. If you would like to be considered for this contract please download, complete and return the tender documentation for this opportunity via the EU Supply portal, which can be located by clicking and following this link: https://uk.eu-supply.com/login.asp?B=BLUELIGHT. If you are not already registered as a supplier with EU Supply this process will need to be completed before the tender opportunity can be accessed. Registration can be completed by clicking on the tab on the EU Supply homepage ‘New Supplier Registration’ and following the instructions on screen.
