Electro-Mechanical Repairs - Clayton Sports Centre is a key local facility within the borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme which is in urgent need of repair. A stock condition survey has been undertaken which identified key areas of the fabric of the building along with equipment that are in need of replacement. This tender covers the installation of the engineering services to the proposed upgrade works at Clayton Sports Centre. The programme of works for the project will be prepared by the Contractor. The Contractor shall coordinate all works and plan, schedule & coordinate to provide a full and complete working package for the work as described in the specification. It is anticipated that the works would commence at the beginning of April 2015 and the contractor shall advise of the programme of work and completion date. Sports Centre Re-Roofing - Clayton Sports Centre is a key local facility within the borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme which is in urgent need of repair. A stock condition survey has been undertaken which identified key areas of the fabric of the building along with equipment that are in need of replacement. The stock condition survey identifies the sports hall roof, rain water goods to the sports hall roof as a priority for investment The main sports hall has a pitched roof with an asbestos cement corrugated sheet covering. The sheets are supported on metal purlins on a steel portal frame construction. The vertical steel supports for the portal frame are encased in concrete. There is a parapet to all elevations of the sports hall, clad in corrugated metal cladding externally with asbestos fibre cement sheeting to the inner face. This parapet is to be removed during the works. It is anticipated that the works would commence at the end of March 2015 and completed by the beginning of June. The carrying out and submission of proposals for the service and supply to Council will be as per the information contained in the Invitation to Tender documentation available from the named officer in section 1.2 of this notice.

However from the spend analytics and the data provided in documents 3, Joinery, Finishing, Plumbing and Heating, Electrical and Roofing will be the predominant work streams but Glazing, Externals and Brickwork will be required in smaller volumes. It is not essential that a company provides all of these services but it is advantageous.
