GB-Colchester: Website Design & Development Services - Phase 1 Consultancy - GENERAL OVERVIEW OF ENTIRE PROJECT - Phase 1 and Phase 2 The University of Essex is undertaking an exciting new project to redevelop our web presence so that it truly reflects who we are and what we do here. Our Essex brand is a unique, somewhat rebellious mind-set that’s embedded in everything we do. Our ambition is to deliver a bold, sector-leading website. This won’t be just another university website, much like Essex is not just another university. PHASE 1 - CONSULTANCY To deliver on this ambitious brief we need to accurately define our requirements and project outcomes, and so we are undertaking a preparatory phase. We’re looking for a like-minded digital strategic specialist who understands the role our web presence needs to play in delivering our mission. They will deliver Phase 1, which includes definition of the wider project scope and requirements, to inform the creation of the brief for Phase 2. PHASE 2 Web Building (not included in this tender) will include a separate procurement process to appoint a supplier who will design, build and populate a new web presence based upon the clear recommendations and findings from Phase 1.

Workers Educational Association - WEB PRESENCE - Workers Educational Association is inviting tenders for the provision of WEB Presence. Background: The WEA is a national provider of adult education and our mission is to bring great teaching and learning to local communities. This means we take our courses almost anywhere, from clubs, community centres and village halls to schools pubs or where people work. The localised nature of our work has meant the organisation has developed a federalised model, with a national nine English regions and Scotland, along with around 400 volunteer run branches across the country. This structure has resulted in a web presence which is fragmented, partially regionalised, frequently unmanaged and which has orphaned website and social media account. With a new brand now in place, the Association has identified a need to consolidate our existing web presence, improve the services available to students and stakeholders through the websites and to establish a licencing process for local websites that sit outside our core web presence. Key to our new approach will be to create a more immersive and interactive experience for students, tutors, members and volunteers while providing clear pathways for visitors seeking information from the site. Tender Timescales: Suppliers that would like to take part in this tender process are invited to express interest upon which they will be given access to the full tender documentation through INTEND e-tendering system. Expressions of interest will only be accepted until 3rd July 2015, and the deadline for submission of the tender will be 10th July 2015. Please allow sufficient time to make your return.
