Heritage Sector Board Diversity - This invitation is to tender for work towards a wider Heritage Sector Board Diversity project, which aims to provide guidance and advice for organisations on diversifying their Boards, and for individuals on how to become Board members. In 2022, HE commissioned a qualitative research project into barriers and enablers to better Board diversity from Getting on Board, the leading experts in UK Board diversity. As part of the Strategy for Inclusion, Diversity and Equality 2020-2023, HE set out an ambition to improve the diversity of our own workforce, and to make the work we do more inclusive. We also began work to help shape and influence a more diverse and inclusive sector. The report from this research project highlighted several areas where barriers are holding back Board diversity and provides direction for actions to tackle these.
