GMCA 862 GM Integrated Technical Education System Programme Review - Working closely with its partners, GMCA wants to design and build an integrated technical education system for Greater Manchester that is sustainable, and that provides the best experience for all of its users, particularly young people. The integrated technical education system will make it straightforward for young people (in the first instance) to access quality learning and training experiences to enable them to get good jobs in Greater Manchester. A key element of building this system will include developing and working towards a blueprint that is owned by all system partners including young people, parents/carers, education institutions and employers. \r \r GMCA wants to procure a supplier to provide a thorough review of the current programme of work, with stakeholder analysis and breakdown of the further steps needed to successfully design and build a sustainable, integrated technical education system in Greater Manchester. This will include an analysis of the barriers and risks with recommended mitigating actions, recommendations on proportionate programme management capabilities and arrangements, and actions to support GMCA to work with system partners at all levels to develop a realistic plan to manage its successful development and delivery to 2030. \r \r For more information please visit The Chest at https://www.the-chest.org.uk/

UKHSA Leadership Strategy Framework - UKHSA has a variety of programmes to support their leaders, however, they require a leadership strategy to clarify their overarching leadership framework and make the offer clearer for their people, based on career pathways. UKHSA has a broad provision of leadership offerings for their people but recognises that it may not address all requirements in terms of people and change leadership. They need a leadership strategy and a framework to provide clarity on how the programmes interact with each other and define the minimum expectations for leadership development for everyone in the Agency.

East Cambridgeshire District Council Digital Inclusion Project - While the rapid acceleration of digital technologies has enhanced services for many, it has also highlighted existing inequalities and has the potential to exclude people without access to technology or the skills and confidence to use it. The Covid-19 pandemic accelerated our reliance on connectivity and exposed the digital divide in the UK. This is being exacerbated by the current cost of living crisis with many people struggling to afford broadband and mobile connectivity, and the upcoming switch-off of the copper, analogue telephone network which will affect the most vulnerable. Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, East Cambridgeshire District Council is looking to commission an experienced delivery partner to implement a digital inclusion project for residents living within East Cambridgeshire who are facing barriers to gaining digital skills and/or access to digital services. The project should provide digital inclusion initiatives to help improve people's digital skills so that they can use online services. The scheme will address the main challenges that people face to going online: • access - the ability to actually go online and connect to the internet • skills - to be able to use the internet • motivation - knowing the reasons why using the internet is a good thing • trust - a fear of crime, or not knowing where to start to go online.

Adult and Community Learning 2024-25 - The Skills & Lifelong Learning Team (S&LL) Priorities for the 2024 to 2026 Commissioning Years S&LL is undertaking a commissioning exercise to procure and develop Adult Education Budget provision for the residents and workers of the Cheshire East Borough and Cheshire and Warrington LEP areas. Following the economic disruption owing to the Covid-19 pandemic and current cost of living crisis, S&LL wishes to commission learning provision which is primarily aimed at learners: • seeking employment outcomes; or • on the route to gaining employment. S&LL encourages applications from those with proven links with the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions), the Cheshire Job Centre structure, local employers, and other providers of similar provisions. S&LL is seeking to commission local providers with excellent local links. Other considerations These programmes should demonstrate how they fit with: • Local economic need; • Cheshire East's Corporate Plan; • Cheshire and Warrington LEP economic strategy. S&LL welcomes applications from high quality providers to meet the needs of young people with Special Educational Needs or a Disability (SEND). Lot 1: Accredited Learning - bids equal to or lower than £100,000 per year - the total amount for Lot 1 is £600,000 over two years. Lot 2: Non-accredited learning also known as Community Learning - bids equal to or lower than £50,000 per year - the total amount for Lot 2 is £300,000 over two years. Accredited Learning (Lot 1) will focus on qualifications supporting employability skills, ICT, English, and maths particularly those who are most disadvantaged with the aim of enhancing learners' work prospects. Non-accredited Learning (Lot 2) will focus on turning around the lives of local people to enhance their employability, maximising the impact on the social and economic wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities, particularly those who are most disadvantaged. Applicants may apply for funding from either or both Lots. The available budget is a constraint for the funding available and will not change during the contract term. The funding at this time (March 2024) is also subject to confirmation from the ESFA. Lot 1: AEB: Accredited Learning S&LL will retain 20% of the Education and Skills Funding Agency published funding rate for a learning aim for contract and performance management, quality assurance and support, the processing of data for analysis and processing the returns to the Education and Skills Funding Agency. Where regulated qualifications are delivered, they must be eligible for AEB funding and available at find a learning aim https://submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk/find-a-learning-aim/ Lot 2: AEB: Non-accredited Learning (Community Learning) Payment will be by results for non-accredited learning. Complete funding will only be paid at the discretion of the S&LL Contract Manager, once learner targets have been met and a satisfactory data report has been processed.
