Spray Booth - Ultimate Protection Group is a team of commercial coatings and flooring installers working across all industries, providing high performance, industry-specific finishes proven in some of the world's most demanding conditions, from intumescent protection to boat paint. Our roots are in Cornwall's long-standing maritime and port sector. We're specialists in superyacht finishing. And today we deliver resin flooring and commercial coating services, and products, to customers operating in a wide range of sectors, from education to warehousing. Ultimate Protection has some big expansion plans, and a major part of these plans is the relocation to a new premises which will support business growth goals and provide much needed space, infrastructure and equipment. This will allow us to increase our operational capacity and productivity, and offer new services and training avenues. The business relocation is planned for May 2024 and the new premises will provide Ultimate Protection with sufficient space for the installation of a high-end spray booth and oven unit. The spray booth will be used as a training centre for new painters in the region who can achieve fully accredited industrial coating application training. The spray booth will also be used for high-end paint finishing projects, prodominentely maritime superyacht finishing. The purchase of this system is part of a grant funded application process and therefore procurement will be subject to grant approval of the project. GB-Edinburgh: MAJOR REFURBISHMENT OF PLADDA LIGHTHOUSE - Refurbishment work. Painting and glazing work. Painting work. Painting work of buildings. Painting and protective-coating work of structures. Painting work of structures. Pladda Lighthouse is situated on the pear-shaped Island of Pladda half a mile off the South East corner of Arran at Latitude 55o 25.5' N, Longitude 05o 07.3' W. The current light, which was automated in 1990, stands 29 meters high and is situated 40 metres above sea level. The light has a white flashing character (3) every 30 seconds giving a nautical range of 17 miles. The only property the NLB currently own on the Island is the lighthouse tower, the smaller tower below, the link corridor building between both towers, and the solar panel structure. All remaining buildings and land are privately owned. Due to the location of this site, the majority of materials and equipment will be transported to and from site via NLB Tender & Helicopter. Main Items of work: The main items of project work are as listed below:- 1.Carry out a full Asbestos Refurbishment / Demolition Survey on all NLB operational buildings prior to the commencement of any work. The survey, sample collection and sample analysis must be carried by a UKAS accredited contractor in accordance with ISO 17020, ISO 17025 and Health and Safety Executive Guidance Notes; HSG 248, Asbestos: The analysts' guide for sampling, analysis and clearance procedures" and HSG264, Asbestos: The survey guide. 2.The Principal Contractor is expected to test the existing 'HCL' fall arrest system and re-certify it if necessary before use. The Lighthouse station consists of a tower, engine room, control room, battery room, store room and domestic accommodation. The former lightkeeper's houses and all other buildings are privately owned.
