Internal Refurbishment at Congleton and Macclesfield Police Station - This is a contract award notice Congleton and Macclesfield Police Station - Minor Refurbishment of select areas of both locations. The work involves internal refurbishment to two operational police stations, to refresh circulation areas, some office space together with the refurbishment of the toilet and shower facilities. The work involves removal and replacement of existing suspended ceilings (working in conjunction with our electrical contractor who will install new lighting), redecoration to walls and woodwork and soft flooring. Additionally, the refurbishment of the toilet facilities and shower pods including stripping out existing fittings and the installation of new sanitary fittings and wall coverings, decoration and soft flooring. Note that electrical installation will be by others. Contractors need to demonstrate that they have the necessary resources to enable them to complete the works in the timetable required. Contractors will be required to submit staff details to undergo Police vetting and have vetting clearance prior to work being able to commence on site. Building works is estimated to take 6 weeks per station to complete. Works should commence no later than mid-September 2023 and be completed by 31st December 2023.
