Nautilus Marine Survey - Discontinuation of the procurement process for the following project: National Grid Interconnector Holdings Ltd and Elia Asset SA are currently developing proposals for a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) interconnector "Nautilus" between England and Belgium in support of ongoing programs for strengthening both the UK and Belgian Transmission Networks. The development process has identified the need for a HVDC Interconnector installation over a cumulative distance of approximately 200km. Survey requirements are thus arisen to establish suitability of a preferred route alignment.

Lot 2 - Non-Intrusive Marine and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) Surveys 2024 - Tipner West Regeneration Project - Portsmouth City Council - the 'Council' - is seeking tenders to appoint a contractor to undertake specialist non-intrusive marine & unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) surveys within the channel between Tipner West and Horsea Island East, Portsmouth. The surveys are required in order to aid the progression of the Tipner West Regeneration Project. The Works are to be undertaken predominately on the Intertidal Zone and within the existing SSSI and SPA. As such all works will therefore need to be undertaken in a highly controlled manner to avoid impacts to Marine Ecology. The total estimated value range for the non-intrusive marine & UAV surveys (Lot 2) is between £50,000 - £75,000. The council intend to award a contractor to the preferred bidder, who will be the highest scoring bidder in accordance with the evaluation criteria, A contract for Non-Intrusive Marine & UAV Surveys (Lot 2) will be let in accordance with NEC4 Professional Service Short Contract June 2017 (with amendments January 2023) on a fixed price basis. The non-intrusive surveys should commence from contract award and must be completed as soon as possible, but must be complete by April 2024, prior to commencement of the intrusive Lot 1 Marine Ground Investigation works (See section below for further details). Marine Survey Framework - National Grid is an international Electricity and Gas Network Company based in the UK, with operations in north-eastern US. And one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the world. National Grid are looking to set up a multi-year Marine Survey Framework to service offshore cable laying as part of the Great Grid Upgrade and may be utilised in the future for any Hydrogen Pipeline projects as applicable. The Framework will cover the full gamut of survey disciplines required for cable lay and subsequent maintenance. Including Geophysical, Geotechnical, Environmental, Intertidal/landing, Unexploded Ordinance, Maintenance with flexibility to award Turnkey requirements. The Framework is seen as being an important part of National Grid's maritime requirements to allow for a more rapid contracting of surveys potentially in parallel with other project elements that traditionally have been programmed sequentially. SSE Distribution Marine Survey DPS - Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution plc (SHEPD) owns and maintains the electricity distribution network in the North of Scotland and Scottish Islands comprising of overhead lines, underground cables and submarine electricity cables. SHEPD are responsible for the maintenance, repair and replacement of submarine cables in order to maintain security of supply to customers. As part of SHEPD’s RIIO ED2 price control period, the team plan to deliver end-to-end cable inspections on 71 submarine cables within the SHEPD license area. The total length of cable to be inspected is approximately 310km, split over a number of inspection campaigns spread across the price control period of 2024 to 2027. Other project may require additional surveys such as Geotechnical, Benthic and UXO. The Distribution DPS is open to be used by any business unit within the SSE group and where SSE is part of a joint venture.

Sea Link- Targeted Marine Surveys - The general requirement is for targeted marine surveys of 5 specific areas (see map) between Aldeburgh (East Suffolk) and Pegwell Bay (Kent), to supplement a survey of the whole route undertaken in 2021, to inform of seabed morphology and shallow sediment structure, and to provide benthic characterisation and habitat maps. The PQQ process is to establish market capability to carry out the required works within the time period indicated. It is the Client's intent to follow up the PQQ responses with a tendering process with a view to award a Marine Seabed Survey contract based on a detailed RFP process. The survey scope of work covers geophysical, geotechnical and environmental sampling. In addition to the 5 survey areas, the scope of work may potentially include an additional offshoot survey of the main route in the near future.
