UKSPF Debt Support Service - Opportunity Sheffield - This project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. There is substantial evidence that debt can have a serious impact on people's ability to gain employment. This contract is commissioned as a wrap-around service to support the deliverables of the UK SPF with the aim of reducing debt and tackling money management as being a barrier to entering employment. The Provider shall deliver a priority 1:1 service for referred participants in receipt of the UK SPF Employment Support Service of this same fund whereby financial issues has been identified a barrier to entering the labour market, or who may otherwise benefit from additional support regarding debt or money management to achieve their goal of entering employment or other progression. The service shall provide advice and support regarding a full range of personal finance subjects dependent upon the individual need of the participant, including but not limited to: • An assessment of the needs of the individual and whether the Debt Support Service is appropriate • Universal Credit (eligibility, understanding and support with application) • Other benefits, funds, grants or schemes available now and that become available over the contract term (eligibility, understanding and support with application) • Debt resolution and advice • Positive intervention and coaching • Support with any other financial queries • General financial advice The service shall be available face to face, over the telephone and through video conferencing, led by the need and preferred form of contact by the participant. The service shall be delivered by suitably qualified and experienced individual(s).
