PP15059 - Junction 2 Business Survey - Junction 2 Employment Area is an important strategic employment area comprising one of the UK's most successful Enterprise Zone areas at i54, Wolverhampton Business Park, Pendeford Business Park, Boundary Industrial Estate and Trinity Court. Junction 2 Employment Area is situated in the west of the Black Country in South Staffordshire and Wolverhampton adjacent to Junction 2 of the M54, Stafford and Wobaston Road. The area is home to some of the Black Country's strategic companies including Jaguar Land Rover's engine plant, UTC Marstons, Eurofins and Moog. A dashboard for Junction 2 has been developed to capture information directly from companies and providers on job opportunities, construction job opportunities, travel to work patterns, education, skills and training. An in-house business survey was carried out in 2014 to capture this information from the existing business base. In addition, it captures other important information on existing and future business requirements for business support, broadband, local transport infrastructure, skills requirements etc. The overall purpose of this work is to allow project sponsors to fully understand the economic impact of the Junction 2 area and to assist the partners to further develop, improve and prioritise support offered to local businesses. The project should also provide better real time information to enable us to tailor business support, ensure local skill requirements are met and target businesses with services to meet their specific needs.

PP15029a Review and Strategy for Car Park Provision in Wolverhampton City Centre - Background Wolverhampton City Council is leading on the major regeneration of the City centre. A number of significant development opportunities will be coming forward over the next 20 years and the Council needs to understand the implications of such large scale regeneration on the requirements for parking in the City Centre. Dialogue with local businesses, soft market testing for Westside and Southside and the feedback at a Developer Conference held in October 2014, has highlighted the need for a review of car parking and a strategy for car parking in the City Centre. The need for, and commitment to, this review and strategy is also included in the Draft City Centre Area Action Plan supporting evidence documents, and has been subject to extensive press coverage and local concern over recent months. In 2011 the Council commissioned a baseline survey of car parking which will require updating. Currently car parking in the City centre is provided by some multi storey car parks and surface level parking .This is owned by the Council and private sector, with much of the Council ownership in temporary use. The multi storey car park at the railway station is to be extended as part of the Interchange project. Objectives and context The objective of the commission is to provide the Council and its partners with an evidence based assessment of the changing car-parking requirements in the City centre. It will provide the Council with the framework to determine the location, quantum and type of car parking required in the future as the regeneration of the City Centre takes place.

Business Process Analysis - The Faculty of Science and Technology at Lancaster University works in partnership with businesses and other science and technology users so that our research and teaching makes a demonstrable difference to the economy and society. Our partners range from small and medium enterprises, voluntary organisations, charities, social enterprises, public sector institutes such as the NHS, to global companies like Microsoft, Unilever and BT. The faculty is very successful at securing both public and private sector funding to work with these external partners and particularly with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to support small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). New ERDF projects will be proposed this summer with the intention of starting new projects within the faculty early in 2016 to work with SMEs across the Northwest of England. The management of the ERDF projects is a complicated process of securing details of supported SMEs and activity throughout the lifetime of the project and beyond and the faculty is seeking a method to streamline this recording in a more efficient way. The Business Partnerships and Enterprise team in the Faculty of Science and Technology is seeking a private sector specialist to: complete a process analysis to map the data flow relating to knowledge exchange such as ERDF projects and produce a range of recommendations for improvement. The university retains the option to extend the contract to complete the works or to undertake any associated, optional works. Lancaster University reserves the right not to award a contract following this tender, nor does it bind itself to accept the lowest price or any quotation. The university reserves the right to terminate the contract in the event of continued unsatisfactory performance. This tender is being conducted electronically using Lancaster University e-tendering system, which can be found at https://in-tendhost.co.uk/lancaster/
