IS CONSULTANCY - Forestry Commission England (FCE) is divided into two main areas, Forest Enterprise England (FEE) and Forest Services (FS). These areas are supported by a National Office Team based in Bristol. FCE is reliant on effective and efficient IS Services to achieve successful delivery of its corporate targets. This requirement is commissioned specifically by FEE as the biggest organisation within England with the largest user base and systems landscape. The scope though will need to cover the requirements of FS due to the close integration currently in place. We currently benefit from the provision of Information Services as part of the Forestry Commission’s Corporate Services Team based in Silvan House in Edinburgh. This IS Service is a shared and integrated service delivered across FC to colleagues within Scotland, to our Central Services teams and to Forest Research, as well as FCE. The service covers the full range of IS functions including Enterprise Systems Delivery, Desktop Management, Data Networks, voice networks, Business Solutions Development, Radio and Electronics and Service Desk. Integral to these technical services, is also the provision of a broader set of management activities. As the Forestry Commission continues to devolve over the next 5 years, FEE and FCE more broadly needs to take responsibility for its own delivery of corporate services which includes Information Services. It therefore needs to develop a strong understanding of its current and future IS requirements, and options and business cases for future service delivery. Please express your interest in this tender to Sarah Willmott sarah.willmott@forestry.gsi.gov.uk by email or in writing by the 27th of May 2015 to allow us to notify you of any questions and answers we may receive.

Invitation to Submit to act a Participating Centre within the SABR CtE Programme - Invitation to Submit to act a Participating Centre within the SABR CtE Programme Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (Arden &GEM CSU) on behalf NHS England are inviting providers to apply to take part in a new Commissioning through Evaluation (CtE) programme for Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR). The CtE programme enables patients to access promising new treatments which are not routinely commissioned, whilst new data is collected within a formal evaluation programme, potentially leading to the development of a clinical commissioning policy for future use. Applications are invited from providers wishing to act as participating centres in a new CtE programme focussing on SABR in the treatment of oligometastatic disease, primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and re-irradiation of the spine and pelvis. It is expected that a smaller number of providers will act as participating centres for HCC and re-irradiation as compared to those for Oligometastatic disease. Providers wishing to participate in the programme must clearly state the scope of their application within the template. CtE is an innovative programme introduced by NHS England to support promising new treatments where the evidence base is not yet sufficiently developed to support routine commissioning. CtE enables new data to be collected within a formal evaluation programme and is run in partnership with the National Institute for Health Care Excellence (NICE). SABR is currently only routinely commissioned as a treatment for non-small cell lung cancer. The SABR CtE programme will run for a period of up to three years and it expected that the first patients will begin to receive treatment from the CtE from 15 June 2015. This service will be live on 6th May on the Arden & GEM CSU e-tendering portal (Bravo). The University requires support in generating enthusiasm throughout the University staff and students, building and maintaining a high level of positive user engagement, capturing detailed business requirements and carrying out an efficient and effective deployment of the solution to the end users.
