Electrical Heating and Hot Water Installation at Notrees Care Home - West Berkshire Council are proposing to upgrade the current heating installation at Notrees Residential Care Home in Kintbury over the coming months working carefully through the home in a controlled manner that does not affect the home operations, thus allowing the staff and residents to go about their business without risk. The current installation consists of electric heating mats located above the plasterboard ceiling and electric underfloor heating (ESWA) systems. The proposal is to replace the installation with new intelligent wall mounted electrical heater panels and Towel rail heaters which are to be installed throughout the home along with some storage heaters in key communal areas. Both systems shall include dedicated control systems with contactors electronic timers and programmers. In addition, the proposal is to rationalize the hot water heating system removing the roof void water heaters and upgrading the current low level hot water heaters removing the old water storage tanks in the roof and putting a cold water booster set in along with break tank and weatherproof enclosure. All systems shall have new electronic intelligent controls that allow the home to set, control and monitor the installation on site. The electrical heating installation shall consist of a mixture of intelligent heaters individually set up to suit the users and Nighttime storage heaters which shall provide cheap background heat to the corridors, small lounge and the main lounge. The installation shall be carried out in a careful and coordinated manner working around the home operations. thus there shall be no more than three Engineers on site at any one time completing the installation works. The works shall be done area by area, thus the contractor shall work in one area of the home at any one time.
