SPS 2717 - Housing Adaptations Works (Internal and External) - The Royal Borough of Greenwich (the Contracting Authority) is seeking to enter into contracts with suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake internal and external adaptation works in Council properties for disabled tenants across the borough. The details of works to be delivered under this contract are set out in more detail in the procurement documents. The works have been divided into two (2) lots as follows: Lot 1 - Internal Adaptations (predominantly but not limited to) covering shower over bath; bathroom to wet room conversion; combining WC/bathroom into a wet room; constructing new WC, constructing new bathroom, constructing new wet room, constructing new combined WC/bathroom, constructing new combined WC/wet room; providing wash/dry WC; minor adaptation to existing kitchen; complete kitchen renewal; reconfiguring internal arrangements; forming doorways; widening doorways; new windows; new entrance doors, new patio doors; garage conversions; internal & external drainage; connections to external drainage; electrical; plumbing & drainage services and decorating. Lot 2 - External Adaptations (predominantly but not limited to) covering groundworks; rubbish clearance; demolition of small structures; landscaping; taking down and removing sheds/greenhouses; concreting; removing / amending / constructing pathways; constructing vehicle hard standing; paving; brickwork; demolishing/building brick retaining walls; removing/modifying/installing fencing & gates; forming ramps/steps; modular ramps/steps; forming doorways & windows; widening/adjusting existing doorways & windows; new windows; new entrance doors, new patio doors; garage conversions; internal & external drainage; connections to internal drainage; electrical; plumbing & drainage services; decorating; constructing porches and home extensions. This is a boroughwide contract and the Contracting Authority intends to award contracts for both lots as set out in the procurement documents. The duration of the contract will be for an initial period of three (3) years with the option to extend the contract period on the same terms for a further two periods of up to 12 months each making possible a total contract period of five (5) years. The combined estimated annual contract value for both Lots is £2,000,000 (£2m). The combined estimated total contract value for both Lots over five (5) years including the optional extension periods is £10,000,000 (£10m).

Water Adventure and Play Park - Play Area Design and Build - Weston-super-Mare Town Council (WSMTC) is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced and qualified companies for design and build of a play area at the Water Adventure and Play Park in WSM. The contractor will need to have proven and demonstrated experience in similar projects and the wide ranging skill bases to achieve the various elements of the contract which include liaison and design of a Play Area, health & safety management and defect diagnosis. Companies from whom WSMTC procure goods and services must demonstrate that all practicable steps are being taken to allow equal access and equal treatment in employment and service delivery, as appropriate to the nature of the contract. Following a decision made by WSMTC in July 2020, the Council is committed to working with Contractors who pay the Real Living Wage to their employees. Companies from whom WSMTC procure goods and services must be able to demonstrate an excellent Health and Safety record, accordingly contractors that cannot demonstrate an excellent record, free from enforcement action, will not be considered. Contractors must also be able to demonstrate how they provide social value with the work being carried out, within parameters set out by the Town Council. WSMTC will evaluate the Expression of Interest submissions received, and shortlist qualifying companies to invite tenders for the project. Registration of interest does not imply inclusion on the tender list. Tender documents will be issued Mid March 2024, work is anticipated to start June/July 2024. The evaluation will be in accordance with the following criteria, a fail under the Health and Safety criteria will automatically result in exclusion from the tender list. An aggregate of 4 or more fails will automatically result in exclusion from the tender list. -Proven experience in the supply and installation of play equipment -Financial capability -Proven experience in supply and installation of safety surfacing -Evidence of an excellent Health & Safety Record (no enforcement action under current legislation) -Confirmation that employees are paid Real Living Wage. -Resources and availability to tender March 2024 and undertake work June/July 2024 Interested parties are asked to submit Expressions of Interest to include their: • Company name, address, contact name and registration number • Company bankers name and account number • Details of any enforcement action under Health & Safety Legislation • Brief details of two recent (within last 36 months) similar projects undertaken by the company (Max 1000 words) • Confirmation that the company pays real living wage. • Confirmation that the company will be able to submit a tender and should they be successful, commence work June/July 2024.
