Energy Revolution digital exhibits - prototype testing - AWARD - Energy Revolution: The Adani Green Energy Gallery will be a permanent gallery at the Science Museum. It is expected to open in summer 2024 and last for 10+ years, with some scope for updates during this time. Energy Revolution: The Adani Green Energy Gallery is dedicated to one of the most pressing issues of our time: the need to urgently decarbonise global energy systems if we are to limit dangerous climate change. Through a mixture of striking displays of contemporary and historic objects, alongside audio-visual and graphic-based exhibits, the gallery shows how the past, present and future of energy systems are shaped by human imagination and innovation--and explores how we all have a role to play in shaping our energy future. The gallery's key message is: Imagining the future is a powerful tool for generating knowledge, stimulating innovation, and shaping our decisions about how we live--and will be essential for successfully decarbonising global energy systems. Interactive exhibits are being developed to accompany the gallery's content and interpretive approach and support visitors understand the science behind the energy stories. We wish the successful supplier to undertake 1 round of prototype testing on each of the following three digital interactive exhibits (working titles): 1. Solar scales digital exhibit 2. Balancing the grid digital exhibit 3. Climate modelling digital exhibit

Tubular Inspection Services During Geothermal Drilling - Tubular inspection services during the drilling of a 4,500 m deep deviated well in granite. The program is due to take a total of 150 days. EGL's requirements are set out in detail in the tender documents. . Main objectives of the tubular inspection services being tendered: --Safety during tubular inspections on site --Environmental protection --Efficiency . Inspection services for tubular (drill pipe) and drill stem elements to identify: --Crack indications in threads --Crack indication in box connections --Crack indication in outside upsets --Galled threads --Pulled threads --Over-torqued threads --Galled seals --Seal damage to shoulders --Pitting/corrosion --Washouts in connections --Unacceptable wear of OD of box connections and hard banding . Various control inspections during drilling are to be provided. These inspections of drill pipe and drill stem elements, their timing and scope will be based on rotating hours, drilling conditions and observations of the drilling personnel. On request of EGL, such field inspections shall be performed on a call out basis at the EGL drill and test site according to API RP7G-2. . The description of services required is set out in full in the tender document. It corresponds to the inspection needs as anticipated for planning purposes and may deviate in practice. Drilling Rig Audit Services - Independent drilling rig inspection and audit services prior to commencement of the first deep geothermal well at the Eden Project in February/March 2021. . The drilling rig to be inspected is a Bentec 450mt Eurorig that is being supplied by MND Drilling & Services Inc., based in the Czech Republic, through BDF, based in the UK. At the Eden Project site, the rig will be powered by its own diesel generators. A summary of the rig specification is provided in the tender documents. . The rig is currently stacked in MND's yard in the Czech Republic prior to mobilisation to the UK. The mobilisation to the site at the Eden Project is scheduled to commence in late February 2021, with a view to spudding in early March. . EGL require independent verification of the rig's regulatory compliance, equipment operability, inspection regime and suitability for the proposed drilling contract in the UK. The aim is to ensure that rig machinery and equipment meet all functionality, reliability and serviceability criteria. . The inspection must be conducted professionally in accordance with industry standards that are appropriate to, and acceptable in, the UK, as well as to the specific requirements of EGL. The inspections must be undertaken by person(s) with the relevant and appropriate experience and qualifications. . EGL envisage that the rig audit will comprise four elements: --Documentation review (equipment and systems) to check regulatory compliance; --Inspection of...pection; b) Intrusive inspections of the internal parts of specific equipment, including critical measurements and clearance, to ensure equipment is running within recommended tolerances; c) Inspection and verification of rig equipment and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory/ISO/API standards, other relevant international codes of practice, the equipment manufacturer's specifications and recommendations and good engineering practices; d) Function testing, pressure testing, load testing and insulation resistance checks for all critical equipment to verify operability, as required; e) Verification that the equipment has been kept in a safe, maintained and reliable working condition; f) Verification of interactions and dependencies with other equipment that is critical for functionality; g) Verification that the proper safety devices are correctly installed, testing that these function properly and are correctly calibrated to prevent accidents and equipment failures and damage; h) Verification that the rig is compliant with the contractual requirements as provided by EGL; i) Where Non-Conformance Recommendations (NCR) are identified, recommendation of solutions to ensure correct and satisfactory closure of any NCR; j) Witnessing that all Non-Conformance Recommendations have been correctly and satisfactorily completed and closed; k) Production of a full report, including categorised observations, together with the issue of any required certification.
