HVAC - SMF Extract Arrangement - What is Included The scope of this procurement exercise is the completion of the detailed design, manufacture and testing of the ventilation line for the SMF extract.The following activities associated with design of the SMF extract vent line are included in this procurement specification:-  Project Start-up Meeting  Detailed Design  Design Review  Manufacture  Testing  Supply of design and manufacturing documentation including LTQR pack.  Design substantiation of the Vent Line, Vent Line Support Brackets, and any connections to the Vent Line to Safety Function Class 2 in accordance with SLP1.02.10. The above listed project activities are to be carried out with the involvement of NNL. Regular update meetings will be required with the NNL project team and NNL's Lead Engineer is required to accept key project documentation.The supplier scope of supply shall begin from the specified interfaces in the Cave 6 garage area and end at the connection to the red extract. The supplier shall carryout an assessment prior to commencement of design work to confirm that the discharge of these extracts from SMF operations in to the Red Extract ductwork will not adversely affect the existing Red Extract Ventilation System. The supplier shall supply NNL with the following:-  Vent line (including replacement section of red extract duct work)  Brackets and fixings  Technical and manufacturing documentation including test certificates. What is Optional The following should be included in the suppliers tender return, with a separate price, as anoption that NNL may choose to pick up:  Installation of the SMF extract vent line and the replacement section of the red extract duct work at the NNL Windscale Laboratory (also known as the Active Handling Facility).

Many of these premises have heating ventilation and cooling (HVAC) systems installed within them. he Group is currently seeking to procure a Contractor to deliver preventative maintenance services to all of those systems. This will be undertaken by carrying out regular inspections of all equipment in a planned manner, identifying current or potential future issues and then carrying out any necessary repairs to ensure the systems continue to operate effectively. In addition to the above, the Provider will also be required to attend and rectify the systems as and when they fail to operate effectively or break down completely. This work is responsive, and will be required to be completed within pre-set timeframes. Effectively, this tender is to procure Providers to control all maintenance and repair works required to these systems. It is the intention of Gentoo to appoint one Provider to deliver these works.

To suit programme constraints the procurement of new steam to domestic hot water plate heat exchanger packages and buffer vessels will be a direct order through the hospital whilst the process for appointing a Main Contractor for the scheme is undertaken. Thus allowing the plant to be put into manufacture prior to Main Contractor appointment.
